March 30, 2025 -- Komatsu Ltd. (President and CEO: Hiroyuki Ogawa) will participate in bauma 2025, the world’s leading construction machinery trade fair, taking place in Munich, Germany, from April 7 to April 13.
Held every three years, this trade fair will be where Komatsu showcases its latest efforts in innovation, sustainability, and digitalization, advancing smart and clean future workplaces at construction and mining sites. The following are the key exhibits Komatsu will present at the event. We invite you to explore our latest advancements.
Komatsu will exhibit 13 new models, primarily focused on those tailored to meet the market needs in Europe. In particular, Komatsu will exhibit the new-generation hydraulic excavator PC220LCi-12 (bucket capacity 1.2m3), equipped with the latest 3D construction features, and its standard model, PC220LC-12. And the new-generation wheel loader WA485-11 (permanent payload 8,800kg) equipped with newly developed engines, will also be on display.
Alongside its products, Komatsu will highlight the latest digital solutions, including Smart Construction, which enhances jobsite operations through visualization and optimization, and the Fleet Management System for quarry sites (Smart Quarry Site).

Komatsu will present its expanding lineup of five electric hydraulic excavators, ranging from mini-to mid-sized classes, as well as a prototype of an electric wheel loader. Following extensive testing since its prototype machine debut at bauma 2022, this model has been refined with improved charging capabilities and extended operating hours.
Furthermore, the outdoor exhibition space will feature a demonstration of a tethered ultra-large hydraulic excavator, PC7000-11E, equipped with a 44m3 capacity bucket, operating a machine approximately 9.6 m high (to the top of the cab) and 9.0 m wide.
(Dimaag's megawatt-level rapid charging vehicle)
In collaboration with leading global companies, Komatsu will introduce tailored charging and energy storage solutions for various jobsites conditions and equipment types.
(1) Megawatt-level rapid charging vehicle (Co-exhibiting with Dimaag-Ai, Inc.): A charging system equipped with four-wheel drive functionality, achieving excellent mobility and megawatt-level rapid charging.
(2) Battery swap solution: A battery swap solution concept, designed to supply power to jobsites with limited energy sources, reducing downtime by enabling battery exchanges.
(3) Flex Mobile charger (Co-exhibiting with SBRS, a member of the Shell Group): A versatile on-site charging solution which can be transported to jobsites by truck or other means, with a power output of 80kW.
(4) Mobile battery energy storage systems (Co-exhibiting with MIDAC S.p.A. and Urban Mobility Systems): Mobile battery energy storage systems in a range of capacities, tailored to support various types of excavators and other electric machinery from mini to medium-sized models. These systems ensure a stable power supply, even in jobsites without established power infrastructure.
